Call for Submissions
The Journal of Middle East Politics and Policy (JMEPP) is currently accepting submissions for our online publication.
JMEPP is a nonpartisan policy review, published at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University since 2011. We are committed to presenting new perspectives on pressing problems, addressing complex issues with insightful analysis, and exploring emerging trends shaping the Middle East and North Africa. We are interested in policy writing that is forward-thinking, empirically grounded, and accessible.
Submissions may discuss trends in politics, economics, development, military affairs, international relations, religion, culture, and other topics. Articles should not be strictly academic in tone. Rather, we encourage writing that bridges the gaps between the worlds of academia, policy, and journalism, bringing accessible but substantive analysis to Middle East experts as well as laypeople.
Submissions for publication on the JMEPP website should be roughly 800-1,500 words. They may include commentary and opinion pieces, news analyses, interviews, or infographics that provide new perspectives on political issues and policy challenges facing the region today.
The deadline for submission is January 31st, 2017. Please direct all inquiries and submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
